Sylvan Meadow Welcome Letter
Welcome to our home. It is an honor to host you during your visit to Vermont. To ensure your stay is safe and peaceful, we have provided a list of guidelines that we would ask you to familiarize yourself with and abide by. If there's anything you need or questions you may have, please text or call Jolie Walker at (802) 662-0499.

House Features & Amenities
Television: The LG television offers a number of streaming services. The house is also equipped with Xfinity cable for your enjoyment. Please change the input on the TV to the cable (HDMI 1) and use the Xfinity remote to access.
Parking: Parking spaces are available in the driveway, in front of the garage doors or in the side extension.
Laundry: The washer and dryer are in the downstairs bathroom and are available for use throughout your stay. Please leave the washer door ajar when not in use to allow air to circulate and avoid mildew.
Deck: Feel free to enjoy use of the deck, deploying the umbrella for comfort. To avoid risk of damage from high winds, please lower the umbrella when not in use.
Fire Pit: We have a new fire pit in the backyard for your enjoyment with a wood rack that we will keep stocked. Our wood supply is for you to use but it is not limitless. If you use it all up, you can text Jolie to find where to get more. Please use caution when lighting the fire and never leave it unattended. When it is down to embers it is fine. Don't put the cover on it while it is hot.
Climate Control: House temperature is set in zones. The upstairs gas fireplace is not large enough to be used for heat, so please turn it off when not actively enjoying it. The downstairs fireplace is not working currently, so please don't attempt to operate it.
Kids: There is a pack n play in the downstairs bedroom with clean sheets for the mattress. We also have a stair guard in the closet door next to the top of the stairs in the hallway that we recommend you use for your children and pets.
Accessible Areas: The entire house is yours to enjoy with the exception of the garage and the owner's closet downstairs.
House Rules
Quiet Hours: Please keep noise down after 10 pm and before 8 am. Please note that due to proximity to the airport, there is occasional air traffic noise, including brief spurts as F35 jets take off between 9am and 2pm Monday-Friday.
Smoke-free Property: Smoking and vaping in any form is strictly prohibited anywhere in or on the property.
Pets: Unless pre-approved, no animals are allowed inside or outside on the property at any time. Please do not let them onto the furniture.
Overnight Guests: Guests are not allowed for overnight stays unless you let Jolie know in advance. We do not allow events at the property unless you've asked and we have approved it in advance.
Trash & Recycling: Please place all trash in the red container in the driveway to the left of the door. All items to be recycled go into the blue container. Vermont takes recycling very seriously and will issue fines for non-compliance. Please follow the guidelines in the Vermonters Guide to Recycling. Trash and recycling pickup is early Tuesday morning; we will move the containers to the curb on Monday evening.
Snow & Ice: During winter months, as early as October and as late as April, the driveway will be plowed whenever snow accumulates to 4 inches or more. A shovel and scoopable snowmelt salt are located beside the front door to ensure exits are always clear and safe.
Check-out
Prior to check-out, please wash your dishes, strip the linen from the beds and leave them on top of the mattress, and place any dirty towels in the laundry room downstairs. Any excessively wet items can be hung on the pegs beside the washer and dryer. Please turn off the lights and down the heat/AC and lock the door. It would be appreciated if you would text Jolie at (802) 662-0499 when you have departed.
Damages
Accidents may happen. In case you damage anything in the house or on the property, please notify Jolie before you leave. Damages noted by property management will be reported and costs of repair will be charged to the guest.
