Climate Control
The house uses five brand new heat pumps in each bedroom to heat and cool the living and sleeping areas. All heat pumps must be set to the same setting (heat, cool, or off) for them to work. If they are set to different modes, none will operate.
Please use the heat pumps rather than the thermostats, which control baseboard electric heating intended only as a backup. The house also features a cast iron wood stove downstairs that provides excellent warmth throughout multiple levels, and a Ranieri natural gas heater that serves as the primary heat source for the downstairs.
When departing, please turn heat down to 60 degrees and turn off air conditioning in summer.
Living Areas
Television
The living room features a Roku Samsung television. You can watch movies and television via Roku or stream from apps on the television. We do not provide streaming services, but you can cast from any phone to the TV if your phone is on the same WiFi network. To cast, open what you want to watch on your phone and click the cast button (TV icon at the top of the screen on iPhone via AirPlay, or similar for Android).
Fireplace
The living room wood-burning fireplace is available for your use. We provide wood and fire starters. Please never leave fire unattended, especially when going to bed, keep children away from it, and avoid overfilling the fireplace.
Deck
Feel free to enjoy the deck. If you move furniture, please return it to its original position before you depart.
Bedrooms & Laundry
A pack n play with clean sheets is available in the primary bedroom for infants.
The washer and dryer are located in the downstairs bathroom and are available throughout your stay. Please leave the washer door ajar when not in use to allow air circulation and prevent mildew.
Storage & Equipment
You are welcome to store skis and other outdoor equipment in the downstairs foyer near the pool table. Please do not wear boots in the house and do not bring equipment into the upstairs portion of the house.
Parking & Outdoor Areas
Ample parking is available in the driveway. Please do not park on the street.
During winter months (as early as October and as late as April), the driveway will be plowed when snow accumulates to 4 inches or more. A shovel and scoopable snowmelt salt are located beside the front door for clearing exits during and between snowstorms.
Trash & Recycling
All trash and recycling should be placed in the designated shed with lids securely closed. If bins are full, do not add additional trash; contact us instead.
If staying during trash pick-up day (Monday), put trash out in the morning and return bins to the shed afterward. For wildlife safety, wait until morning to put out trash when possible to prevent bears and raccoons from scavenging.
Vermont takes recycling seriously and issues fines for non-compliance. Please follow the guidelines in the Vermonters Guide to Recycling.
House Rules
Quiet Hours: Please keep noise down after 10 pm and before 8 am. Note: Due to proximity to the airport, occasional air traffic noise occurs, including F35 jets between 9 am and 2 pm Monday–Friday.
Smoke-free Property: Smoking and vaping in any form are strictly prohibited anywhere in or on the property.
Pets: Well-behaved dogs are welcome. You are responsible for them inside and outside the property. Please do not let them onto furniture.
Overnight Guests: Guests are not allowed for overnight stays unless you notify the property manager in advance. Events are not permitted unless approved in advance.
Accessible Areas: The entire house is yours to enjoy except for the ground floor side room and any locked room or closet.
Check-out
Prior to departure, please:
- Wash your dishes
- Strip linens from beds and leave them on top of the mattress
- Place dirty towels in the downstairs laundry room
- Turn off lights and turn down heat/AC
- Lock the door

Damage Reports
Accidents may happen. If you damage anything in the house or on the property, please notify Jolene before you leave. Damages noted by property management will be reported and repair costs will be charged to the guest.
